The air is cooler, the fire is lit, and we find reasons to stay outside a little longer. Woods Nature Spray has a place beside us on those evenings—but autumn also calls for a reminder: tick season isn’t over.
Tick season doesn’t end with summer. Ticks are active in the fall. According to the CDC, they may even search for a host during winter when temperatures are above freezing. Mosquitoes follow a different seasonal pattern, but they can linger around into the fall as well.

Ticks can carry pathogens that cause Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. And you don’t have to hike deep into the woods to encounter them. Ticks seek refuge in yards and neighborhoods, too.
So before an evening outdoors, make Woods a part of your routine. When you come inside, check your body, clothing, and pets for ticks. A shower soon after being outdoors can help you find ticks that may have gone unnoticed.

We’ll still be out there for the last light, the stories by the fire, and the evenings we wish would last a little longer. We’ll just remember to check for ticks when we come in.
